Among the pioneering departments, Mathematics department is one of the first few departments in the college and has the privilege of possessing great scholars of mathematics on its faculty. Since the inspection, the department actively contributed to the development of the college. The post graduated course in Mathematics started in the year 1970. We take pride to state that ours is the only granted post graduated department in the region under the S.R.T. M. University, Nanded. Department is also recognized Research Center in Mathematics. Students seek admissions to this department from remote corners of Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh. A very good academic record of meritorious students at PG level has consistently been maintained.

hearty welcome to the Department of Mathematics. The Department has excellent track record of meritorious students since its establishment. 86 students got ranks in the University examinations, 21 students passed National level examinations such as NET, SET, PET, IIT-JAM, More than 50 students received awards and prizes in various competitions like Seminar competitions, Ramanujan competition of mathematics knowledge, Madhawa Mathematics competition, Poster presentation competition and other such competitions. Department having 06 full time highly qualified staff in which 03 having Ph.D. and 04 having SET, NET qualification. Department has a very good tradition of research work from beginning as a result of which 18 students awarded Ph. D. Degree in the department, more than 100 research papers published in the National and International Journals, 06 books are published, 06 Research projects are completed and 02 research projects are ongoing, more than 100 seminars conferences are attended and presented their research work in those by the faculty members. Department organized 02 International conferences and more than 05 National conferences/Workshops/Seminars. For the students department organized various seminar competitions, mathematics knowledge competitions, poster presentation competitions, Guest lecturers of various eminent personalities from all over the country. Students are encouraged to take part in various competitions and competitive examinations. Department is having fully equipped computer lab and ICT class rooms.
