The workshop was organized on, “FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO RESEARCH PROPOSALS AND THRUST AREAS OF RESEARCH” by N.E.S. Science College, Nanded. The workshop is inaugurated by Principal Dr. G.M. Kalamase and in his inaugural address he stressed importance of research for nation building and as a career. The floral tribute were given to Swami Ramanand Teerth , Founder of Nanded Education Society. Dr.P.R.Wesanekar, Convener of the workshop, introduced the aims and objectives of workshop.

Dr.P.P.Sharma, Vice Principal & Organizing Member gave lecture on, “Importance of Information Communication Techniques in Research and Teaching” He elaborated various ICT methods applicable in teaching and research. He also gave information of MBA and various courses of IGNOU. Keynote Address: Prof. R.D. Kaplay, Officer on Special Duty, S.R.T.M. University delivered keynote address on, “Research Methodology and various fund agencies for research” He explained in detail about the different steps in research from identification of research problem to completion of research project. He stressed on qualities and capacities required for research. He gave exhaustive information about preparation of research proposal and account of funding agencies.

Prof. G. Gyannath, Director, School of Life Sciences, S.R.T.M. University explained the thrust areas of research in life sciences.
There was interaction among participants and resource persons at the end of session.
